This Privacy Policy explains how Follinfo handles information when you use the Follinfo application, website, and related services. We aim to keep our practices simple, privacy-respecting, and easy to verify.
1. Who we are
Follinfo is an independent Instagram follower analysis product by Gizmonia. Follinfo is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Instagram or Meta Platforms, Inc. Instagram and related trademarks are the property of their respective owners.
2. Export-only model
Follinfo only analyzes files that you voluntarily request from Instagram and choose to upload. Specifically:
- Follinfo does not request your Instagram username or password.
- Follinfo does not log into your Instagram account.
- Follinfo does not access Instagram’s servers on your behalf.
- Follinfo does not perform scraping, botting, auto-following, auto-liking, or any other Instagram automation.
3. Information we receive from you
When you use Follinfo, we receive only what is needed to deliver the service:
- The Instagram data export file that you choose to upload.
- A backend identity (a non-Instagram, app-issued identifier) used to keep your entitlements, plan state, upload credits, and abuse-prevention signals consistent across sessions and devices.
- Operational events that describe the lifecycle of your usage (for example: upload started, upload succeeded, plan-limit reached, identity refresh) without raw follower lists.
4. Upload processing and retention
Uploaded files are processed temporarily to generate your reports and analytics. Raw uploads may be deleted automatically after processing. Processed analytics data is retained only as long as necessary for product functionality, legal obligations, fraud prevention, and customer support, and may be deleted earlier on request where legally permitted. You remain responsible for maintaining your own backups of any data you wish to preserve outside Follinfo.
5. Security and abuse-prevention processing
To protect the platform and other users, Follinfo may process technical identifiers, security metadata, integrity signals, and abuse-prevention telemetry. This processing is used to:
- prevent fraud and detect abuse;
- enforce trial, referral, and plan rules;
- detect modified, instrumented, or unauthorized clients;
- protect the integrity of the platform and its users.
We do not use this data for advertising, profiling for marketing, or sale to third parties.
6. Device and integrity protection
Follinfo may use device-integrity signals, security validation systems, and backend verification to prevent unauthorized access, tampering, or bypass of usage limits. Where available, platform-provided integrity APIs may be consulted; the result is used to make access decisions, not to identify you for advertising.
7. Insights and AI-generated outputs
If Follinfo presents analytics, predictions, growth insights, or AI-generated recommendations, those outputs are informational only. Follinfo does not guarantee follower growth, engagement, reach, revenue, or any other social-media or business outcome.
8. Payments and subscriptions
Subscriptions and billing are handled by Apple App Store, Google Play, and/or RevenueCat. Follinfo does not directly process raw card information. Subscription status received from these platforms is used to determine your entitlements and is stored in a minimal form (plan, status, renewal/expiry where provided).
9. Infrastructure and third-party providers
Follinfo relies on a small set of providers strictly for service operation, stability, abuse prevention, and improvement. These typically include:
- cloud hosting and managed database providers;
- payment and subscription platforms (Apple, Google, RevenueCat);
- crash and error monitoring (e.g., Sentry);
- operational analytics for stability and abuse-prevention purposes.
Follinfo does not embed third-party advertising networks, does not sell personal data, and does not engage in behavioral advertising.
10. Data retention discipline
Follinfo aims to minimize the data it keeps. Where retention is necessary, we apply automatic cleanup policies and only retain the minimum needed to deliver the product, enforce abuse rules, comply with legal obligations, and support audit and customer support. You may request deletion of supported data through the contact channel below, subject to legal retention requirements.
11. Security
Follinfo applies reasonable technical and operational measures, including transport encryption, access controls, least-privilege infrastructure, monitoring and anomaly detection, and backend validation systems. No system is perfectly secure, and we do not promise absolute or impenetrable protection. We work in good faith to address security issues we discover.
12. App Store and Google Play compliance
Follinfo’s privacy posture is built around user-controlled data exports, no credential harvesting, no scraping, and no unauthorized Instagram access. These principles are intentionally aligned with App Store and Google Play developer requirements.
13. Your choices
You can stop using Follinfo at any time, delete the app, and request deletion of supported data. You can manage your subscription directly from your Apple, Google, or RevenueCat-managed account dashboard.
14. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date. Continued use of Follinfo after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
